Recently, KFC launch it’s new line of creamy desserts which includes the Mango Cheescake, chocolate Tiramisu, Chocolate Banana Cream Pie and the all time favorite chocolate mousse. 

The rare opportunity to taste this new line was so pleasurable. These sweet desserts are too guiltless and worth trying. And having the chance to have it in one sitting was an incredible experience.  What kind experience? It’s for you to find out!

Chicken Day

Kapag Fried Chicken

After encountering a hot headed security guard we landed our feet in KFC in roses ave. , Quezon City. Even we are exhausted and worried for what happen, my hope still continues to look forward and be optimistic. I hold on to my faith, wishing for good things to happen.

We ordered the KFC SoGood Meal (95.00) it consist of 1 pc. Original chicken, rice, drink and mashed potato. It saves you about twenty pesos! That’s really a good deal isn’t? well I prefer these than having snack box. I think it’s really convenient for students and employees who have a tight budget but looking for a good sumptuous set of meals.

While having our lunch, I received a text message from a friend. And luckily, it’s answered prayer. I can make it through! Whooh I’m really blessed at that moment. So we finished our lunch and went back to the security guard we have met an hour ago.

It wasn’t easy to talk with him again but I must conquer my fear.  I approach him, ask him if he will allow me to go on...then he answered. YES! My happiness can’t be explained. His sympathy really shows how good person he is.
By the way my deepest gratitude belongs to my friend Janjen and ofcourse to Kuya Tanny. I’m really glad and excited for what will happen next.

TOKYO TOKYO

360 minutes have passed after we had our dinner. The intensive type of exam really pushed my brain so much. My head aches as well as my big tummy. We get out of the building as the night falls.  Riding on a cab on a long way of traffic was stressful. But we cant go home yet not unless we can catch a bus ASAP tough it’s too bad for us to travel 2 hours with an empty stomach. So we dropped by in Robinson Galleria.

The store looks unpleasant, it was really taken for granted since the store is quite known. Due to my “kakuriputan”  I ordered one of there best seller which is the Chicken Karage for 75.00php and add 60.00 for drinks  with 4 california maki.

At first the deep fried chicken really tastes well with the special sauce. But as time goes by the sauce became spicy and tangy for whatever reason. I don’t like to deep my chicken again, but the taste was blunt. Anyhow the good thing in Tokyo Tokyo is their unlimited rice. J  I don’t eat much rice, but this time I got two cups…  (gutom lang talaga). The maki taste good, made from Japanese rice, fresh crab sticks, nori and mangoes. Well it’s really one of a kind. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi. Geez I don’t like the wasabi so I always set it aside. J

My day ends with full of challenges and hard work but it's was fully paid off with experiences. I've been through a lot this day but i'm looking forward for what will happen soon. 

Not bad for a brunch

I accompany my friend Jerz to pass his requirements in Araneta Center. So we drive our way early in the morning to catch an early trip to cubao. The firm was located located near a condemned cineplex. Where a security guard warned and scolds me that visitors with no business inside are not allowed; I was stopped by his unethical approach, I want to answer him back but I can’t.  I look on the wall and slow get it to the elevator. As I step on inside he advices me to leaved and wait at the near McDonalds store.  (oh yes meh pag endorse si kuya guard even he is working on Pizza Chain a.k.a. PH).

It’s already 10:00am and when i feel my hunger. I only ate a four spoon full of oatmeal and a cup of hot milk.  so I did what kuya guard told me even I don’t I like it cause there’s no where else to go. I went to Mcdo and order one breakfast meal.

I choose to have the frequently ordered Sausage McMuffin. It really looks great in the posters but actually it looks dull and plane. The staff asks if I would like to have fried eggs in it but I prefer to try it without egg to taste the difference.

The sandwich was slightly heavy… I guess? Juices are extracted from sausage that brings out the natural flavor of the sandwich.  Even these oils are unhealthy, they indicate the freshness of the meat/patty. The saltiness of the cheese balances and enhances the flavors of the meat. And the buns itself was perfect seasoned with sesame seeds.  YUM!... I take my time to eat this simple but slightly heavy(in terms of calories) since I alone and waiting for my friend. I paired my sandwich with a regular cup of Ice Tea.

Then I look at my clock (11:30am)and realized it’s already lunch. The time flies so fast and I haven’t notice that it’s already lunch. Well that how’s good this sandwich is!

Hail to Supreme Kung Pao Bowl

Jerz asked me a favor to accompany him to fulfill his first destiny. I was excited but uncertain not until he proposed a good deal. He will pay all my travel fee and foodstuff. Hmm well who will say “NO” for that? Kiddin. I’m not after the “free” things since he insists it anyway.  But I’m very thankful for all the freebies! J

A really big chunck of hot and spicy Chicken

Since he has to do it alone (inside the firm), we both accept to be in separate ways. He will finish his business first then will meet again. After 4 hours, he appears to be so stressed and exhausted. And I told him, both of us can not carry our own sole. However, the long day ends with successful results. We ate our 3pm lunch at KFC, Jerz ate a one piece hot and spicy chicken with a strawberry krushers. While I savor the new KFC Supreme Rice Bowl Kung Pao Chicken [100.00php]. This affordable meal, is a mixture sweet and spicy. The asian style sauce compliments the two chicken fillet top with spring onions and fried garlic. It was made less spicy because of the sweetness of the corn. I like this combination that really filled up my appetite. Paired it cool Strawberry Krushers… by this time my krushers was fully loaded with lot's of strawberry bits! <3 what more can I ask for. J

Whooper Jr.© Stunner

After commuting from Laguna to Makati, we arrived at Glorietta hungry and restless.  We take a break and settle of ourselves in benches near the Glorietta’s activity center.  Until Jelyn textd : “ Kain na kau, malayo pa aq, muntinlupa ata to. Take out nalang ako. J”. So Ron and I stood up and I roam around the mall to search for a heavy and affordable meals.

Restaurants and food chains are scattered everywhere, but none of them offers affordable meals. So we end up in Burger King. Before entering the room, it’s a must to carefully watch our steps because the floorings are uneven. We approach the counter and place our two orders of Whooper Jr. Stunner. 130.00php per order we enjoy a regular size of beverage, french fries and a Whooper Jr. and the to top it all a free cold and sweet sundae.

We chose to sit near the door so Jelyn could see us immediately. While waiting, we started our lunch by combining the two french fries. hmm the fries not too crisp and not salty. Yay don’t know why, maybe the fries are over hold in the warmer. Hmm so I started to take a zip with my glass of sprite but before I drink I was fascinated to observe my cup turns it colors from transparent to red. The reflection of red straw affects the color of the cup wee haha parang akong batang pinaglalaruan yung straw. J

Now, I’m ready for the stunner. The Whooper Jr© was already a complete meal, with protein from the grilled meat, with sliced tomato, onion, lettuce and a spread of special sauce. As I squeeze the sandwich, juices excrete indicating that is fresh. The meat was so tender, moist and not over done. The course was so heavy; in fact I can’t consume it in one sitting.  All I can say it’s perfect for my hungry appetite.

We are almost done when Jelyn arrived. And she asked us what to order, and what well we can suggest but nothing more nothing less a Whooper Jr.© Stunner.

Crunchy Chicken Burger

               Ron, Jelyn and I took a big step by trying our luck in Makati to Taguig. Apparently, we don’t have any organized plan where to start and pass our resumes. We just push ourselves to walk all over the Metro to look for a job.  But the weather does not cooperate with us “grabe ang init!’’ we don’t have any choice but to walk under the mad sun. By the way when I mean walk it’s not just a walk, it’s a capital W.A.L.K. . It feels like where walking on an unending road, our feet are really in pain and our bodies are extremely exhausted. But we don’t stop and we don’t quit.  J

                 So we dropped by in Jollibee branch in Fort Bonifacio Global City to have sit and be refreshed.  Whooh gosh it’s like it was our first time to enter in a fully air-condition room. We really feel revive as we enter the big fast food chain.

              Like anyone else I don’t know what to eat not until I saw the new product of Jolibee. The Crunchy Chicken Burger, well the product wasn’t new in the market but I guess it has a different taste among others.  This product seems not popularly advertised on tv or such so by curiosity I purchase it. I pared it with my all time favorite Jollibee spaghetti and cold pineapple juice [57.00php/ order, add 15.00php to upgrade].

                Ron initiates to get our silver utensils while Jelyn is taking her order at the counter.  While waiting I observe that my serving of spaghetti was quite undersized compared from what I usually eat. It just like a handful spaghetti top with overloaded of cheese L. At that moment I was very disappointed, after walking for hours under the sun this is all I got?. L anyway I just hope the chicken burger will compensate.

                The burger smells terrific, hmm can’t wait to try it.  I took a simple bite, and I’m amaze on what I saw.  It’s really made of 100% crispy chicken, with a special sauce. The chicken is so thick and meaty, it looks like a 1 inch thick chicken fillet breaded on a secret ingredient and fried until crisp. The chicken wasn’t oily compared with other brands so I don’t feel I gained a lot of calories. (cross fingers). I really enjoy every bite, I don’t know if I’m just hungry or not but I knew to myself it really taste good.

                After we eat we continue doing our purpose. We start to burn our calories we gained until we reach the McKinley Hill where we meet the Korean boy band 2AM. J Haha

                 I just like to comment on the serving size, it looks like a simple yum burger that makes it nothing so especial. Hopefully they can improve the way it was package to distinctly recognize. By the way a single serving of crunchy chicken burger is 39.00 pesos only. So visit your nearest Jollibee store now and try to experience there new product. J

Double Down

It was a tiring and exhausting day in school, so me and Marise went to SM to be refreshed.  We go for a long walk and purchase some stuff until we feel our hunger.  Marise was craving for fries, so when we say fries saan p? edi dito lng sa Mcdo. We went to Mcdo but unfortunately Mcdo was fully occupied, so we look for somewhere else were marise will still enjoy Fries. Until we end up to KFC. The store was also crowded but we find our ways to have a sit. We ask a table of two girls who already sited but has extra sits for two. And we’re lucky to have those seats. So I took the order while marise is seating. She ordered Spaghetti [60php], Large ice tea [add 8.00php], mashed potato [28.00php] and of course French fries [24.00php].

                My stomach is already growling when I went to fall in line. I saw a crew roaming around to get orders. But I don’t have my orders yet when I went to the counter. But I want to have a heavy meal to fill up my empty stomach. The poster of the double down catches my attention. But I’m thinking twice because it may trigger my allergies. Sarcastically, way back in high school I always eat lunch in KFC and most of the time I order the famous 1 pc. Chicken meal [88.00php]. I want to try this new product, so I decided to purchase it.

                Some of my friends already fall in love with Double down® and they say it’s a must try. I got my orders and I’m ready to eat. While Holding the sandwhich you can feel the warmth a good sign that it was freshly cooked. Opening the paper wrapper you can already what inside, it was so meaty, that literally there is no room for a bun.  I took a bite and it really tastes good. The chicken was so soft and cooked just right. You can really taste the different ingredients in just one bite. The recipe was simple, but the taste was really explosive. It was made of two piece bacon, one melted slice of cheese, colonels sauce sandwich in two thick original boneless chicken filets. All I can say is yum! CC

                This product will absolutely fill you’re hungry appetite. Enjoy this for a price of 100php [ala carte], 115php [with drink] and 135php [with fixin and drink].
